Role Summary
The Assistant Manager of Site Operations supports back of house operations and store maintenance. They also contribute to supporting the service experience, visual processes, and daily business operations to achieve an engaging and inspiring store environment.
Role Responsibilities
Customer Experience
Leads by example in cultivating Terrain’s four promises: to welcome, to inspire, to inform and to appreciate our customer
Delivers a seamless, multi-channel shopping experience through expertise in omni applications to efficiently get the product to the floor; prioritizes online order processing to exceed customer expectations
Participates in supporting visual priorities, facility standards, nursery maintenance, and custodial tasks to upkeep a safe and inspiring store environment for the customer
Leadership + Team Management
Maintains organizational standards in the back of house and exercises creative decision-making to impact organization and efficiency; facilitates the sharing of relevant information regarding shipment and back of house organization with the team
Supports team development with new hire onboarding and continued education of the team through cross training of multiple departments
Provides timely and specific employee feedback to create a culture of action and accountability
Visual + Business Operations
Leads daily product flow processes which include shipment receipt, processing, tagging, and preparing product for floor placement; understands how the merchant process impacts business and prioritizes product flow accordingly
Supports unloading and check in of all delivery trucks, including plant material, home store product, and supplies; maintains record for all receiving paperwork for inventory integrity
Guides the operational support associates on executing interior and exterior maintenance, nursery tasks, and building repairs
Adheres to store’s safety standards, inventory accuracy, reduction of product loss, and upholds all company policy and procedures to support the profitability of the store
Communication + Relationships
Contributes to an inclusive and people-first philosophy; engages with employees at all levels to encourage open dialogue, reinforce follow through, and ensure that the store team is heard and supported
Checks in with leadership to maintain communication and teamwork on completing store objectives; is open and responsive to feedback
Communicates insights and feedback to store leadership related to plant quality, shipment overages/shortages, damages, sku issues, and packaging standards

2+ years leadership experience
Knowledge of home décor trends & gardening
Ability to work flexible hours to meet the needs of the store including nights, weekends, and holidays
Eagerness to learn and grow within the organization

Pay Range
USD $22.50 - USD $22.50 /Hr.
